Evergreen Hospital (Maternity Center) - Kirkland, WA (Hosted by Jennie Turner/Nurse & Artist) "I am sending you a group submission from the nurses who work on Family Maternity Center at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland WA. I participated in the Wrap project: the nurses helped me by saving plastic beverage labels that I made into a crazy quilt. When I read about your new project, I really wanted to involve them more directly in creating the art. Everyday we work with clients as they transition into parenthood. I wanted the nurses to acknowledge themselves as artists, and nursing as a creative act as we care for our patients through both joyful and tragic experiences." - Jennie Turner -Tyvek is the material. I had the nurses paint, stamp or stencil it with acrylic paint, or use marker, crayon or pastel chalk. I then shrunk the tyvek and sewed on the leaf veining and edges Pictured Below: List of Participants: Angela R Woods, Audrey Clark, April Rutland, Jane Stensland, Keri Kirby, Emily Christensen, Michele Boal, Linnae Jarnagin, Molly Baker, Rebecca Honcoop, Sue Hendrickson, Deb Miles, Agatha Homa, Mary Kamu, Jackie Fitting, Becki Miller, Raisa Lepkova, Maria Devekos, Mindy Kimberly, Shirley Sarmineto, Eun Nam, Julie Lutz, Linda Sterritt, Cary Berg, Jennifer McKinley, Jennie Turner
